try not to laugh at this $1B sales tip
from the highest paid writer of all time
I was just watching some rare footage from the highest-paid writer of all time, Gary Halbert.
If you don’t know who he is… you should.
His legendary sales letters generated over $1,000,000,000 in revenue.
In his heyday, 1/3 of American homes had been purchased from one of his ads.
This lunatic made more money selling in print than any other human who ever ever lived.
He’s a funny bastard, ol’ Gaz (as you’re going to see in just a moment).
What most people don’t about Halbert is that he used to be dead broke.
At one point he couldn't even afford to keep the lights on at his house.
He explained…
My wife at the time (who is not my wife anymore) was a very stubborn, pig-headed woman who thought that living in a dark house without running water was a sucky way to live… and said "If you’re going to keep doing this – you better damn well figure out how to do it”
Telling this story in the video, Halbert revealed how he dragged himself out of the broken hell hole he was in…
That’s when he came out with the funniest sales tip I’ve EVER heard.
Here is is:
I went down to my basement and I put myself in a mindset which I call “Ice-Brain” and I said:
What would you do if you had to write a letter to somebody, and ask them to send you money and if they didn’t the government would behead you?
I nearly spat out my coffee when I heard it haha
But think about it… this is pure genius.
If you raise the stakes in your own mind, “I HAVE TO DO THIS” – the internal pressure forces you to consider new solutions to the problem you’re facing.
His problem was ‘How can I persuade someone to give me money from my writing?”
You see, when it comes to persuasion…
You need a REASON to be persuasive.
How can you raise the stakes?
What’s perhaps already at stake if you can’t persuade your prospects to buy from you?
Perhaps the following situations might trigger something in you…
If you’re dead broke right now… there’s your REASON to persuade.
If you’re saving up for a holiday… there’s your REASON to persuade.
If you’re trying to grow your client base… there’s your REASON to persuade.
If you’re struggling to build your audience… there’s your REASON to persuade.
The question comes down to how badly you want it.
It’s not good enough to just have a desire for money…
You need a nightmare to run from.
A fate worse than death, or a government beheading as Halbert eloquently put it.
Try it.
If you want to write more persuasively, imagine someone behind you with a samurai sword pressed to your neck…
And if someone doesn’t buy your thing… SWOOSH.
A clean cut.
Your head rolling all over the new rug.
Blood spraying out your freshly sliced neck like a mento dropped into a coca-cola bottle.
Don’t want this to happen to you?
Well, today’s your lucky day.
Why?
Because in this new, private group I’m opening, you’re going to discover exactly how you can write so persuasively, it’s borderline unethical.
You won’t just avoid this metaphorical beheading…
You’ll learn exactly how I scaled to $14.8K using nothing but words.
The best part?
The cost of admission is LESS THAN 5% of the value of what you’ll learn.
And get this…
It’s 75% cheaper than my 1:1.
It gets better too.
For the first 3 members, I’m offering a limited-time bonus:
2 × FREE 1:1 Power sessions (worth $800) with me before the group even launches.
FYI: One spot is already taken, so there’s only 2 left.
Don’t let human inertia kick in… Take action today before some other creator who wants success more than you takes your spot.
In fact, I’ll make life easy for you.
Send no money.
Let’s just have a quick chat and see if this would even be a good fit for you.
If it is, you get $800 free coaching from a 6 figure creator and knowledge potentially worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to your business.
If it isn’t, you walk away with clarity and a better idea of what you want.
You win either either way.
But like I said, if you DO want the 2 FREE power sessions included in your experience, it’s only available for 2 more people.
Spot 1 is already taken. 2 are left. And I’m currently reviewing 2 applications.
These next two spots will fill up fast. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
What are you waiting for?
